#2 | always trying to find, without knowing I'm looking
Edition 2 | 17 July, 2023 | Written by Amanda Oliveira-Telò | The power of music, art and technology in the search for authentic expression and the life we want
Hey guys... Hope you like it! Let me know what you think! I'm still trying to decide which day would be best to send out the newsletter. Do you have any preferences? Please reply to this email! (:
💡 If listening to music also helps you focus, you can listen while you read::
Yesterday was one of those days when the feeling of emptiness took over me. It was as if something was missing as if I was wandering through an internal maze in search of answers to questions I didn't yet know how to formulate.
I decided to listen to music because, although I don't know why, I believe that our bodies must have some kind of alert system, like when we feel hungry for food. Perhaps the desire to read, write, go to the cinema, consume art, travel, and simply live is the soul screaming that it's hungry too.
I played Fresno. Fresno, for those who don't know, is a Brazilian rock band that is particularly my favourite in life, especially because they have very beautiful lyrics that resemble poetry. As soon as I hit play, I couldn't hold back. I broke down and cried until the tears ceased, and the emptiness started to make sense. Paying attention to the lyrics of the songs and singing along, I began to feel whole again.
The power of art to make us feel less alone in sadness, love, and pain. And acceptance helps us to live. We are human, and seeing other people living despite everything shows that there are ways to live too. I always forget, but I love these things that help me remember. Thank you to everyone who has the courage to put their art, projects, and ideas into the world.
I think that's why I like to encourage it so much and try to practice it myself because the world needs more, more people who seek expression and happiness genuinely and can inspire others to do the same. Art can be a light that guides us towards a life of authenticity, discovery, fulfilment, and peace.
"Life isn't always
The way I expected
I don't even know if it's worth it
But if I paint an infinite horizon
And walk The way
I believe I'll reach a place that's just mine”
Infinito - Fresno
And today's question comes from one of the songs on Fresno's playlist:
"What makes you cross this seemingly endless night?”
(Listen to the song here)

→ The Useless Web website that takes you to random and useless (but creative) sites with a simple click on the "Please" button.
→ Are you caught up in Barbie fever? I've already bought my ticket, and I'm excited! Have you heard this song that's part of the soundtrack?
→ Have you heard about Amazon Brand Bootcamp? To help you create sponsored ads and strategies to help you engage shoppers at each stage of the customer journey - and it's free!

On the Shelf: "Manifesto”
Today, I'm going to do something a little different since we're talking about Fresno. I want to share my favourite lyrics from one of their songs, which is a true poem. I recommend reading the poem that is the lyrics of "Manifesto" by Fresno, featuring Emicida and Lenine. You can read it here and listen to it on Spotify.
"Always forgetting that the world is just a blue dot in the sky.”
Social media: Threads is not doing so well…
Threads had a promising launch but have been facing some significant challenges in recent days. According to Forbes, there has already been a decrease in the number of daily active users and in the platform's usage time. Well, it's not going so well... But despite this, the Threads team has stated that they are working to improve the user experience, with users mainly complaining about the feed, which lacks relevant content and still focuses too much on brands. We can say that Threads' success will depend on its ability to attract and engage users with unique features and an immersive experience. We will continue to follow the development of Threads. (:
Creation: Updates on AI - Bard and Claude 2
In recent weeks, new artificial intelligence has been attracting attention: Bard and Claude 2. Bard, developed by Google, is an alternative to ChatGPT, now available in more countries and with support for multiple languages. Read more about Bard in the article.
Claude 2, from Anthropic, is another competitor to ChatGPT, available for testing in the United States and the United Kingdom. It offers longer responses and an extended memory. To learn more about Claude 2, visit the Anthropic website.
These new tools offer interesting opportunities for writers and content creators. How about using ChatGPT, Bard, or Claude 2 as assistants? To test the platforms, give them a prompt. Remember that the result depends on the prompt. Think of them as conversations, as they make interaction easier. Type:
"Hello, I [wrote a book, created a project, launched a product, etc.], but I don't know how to start promoting it online. Can you help me create a plan and provide some ideas and examples of content? My name is [ ], the name of my [book, project, product, business] is [ ], it's about [ ], my target audience is [ ], aged [ ], they are interested in [ ], and some topics I want to address are [ ]. Thank you!"
Feel free to customise this format according to your needs and preferences. Good luck with your project!
