#1 Have you seen the inspiration around?
Edition 1 | July 08, 2023 | Written by Amanda Oliveira-Telò | 3 mins 58 secs read
Hey everyone, the first post is here! Hope you like it; let me know what you think after reading it!
💡 If listening to music also helps you focus, you can listen while reading:
So, I recently published a book and it seems like I'm in that moment between creations when we're a little exhausted but full of ideas and desires. Does creative burnout really exist? I know there's reader's block, and I don't like to admit it as an author, but I think I'm going through both…
I spent the week focused on my freelance work and watching Netflix. It was another one of those slow weeks (internal reminder - life is made of cycles, it's okay not to be super productive every week of your life). But even a less creatively productive week can have sources of inspiration for the next cycle (or the breath we need).
I'm totally in love with Henry Cavill in Witcher (off-topic, but my God, have you seen that man?) and finished "Back to 15" in two days, which we can call "13 Going on 30" backwards (love it, Bruna, please write more books!). And this thing about watching good series puts you in other moods, inspires you, and now I can officially say I'm nostalgic.
"Back to 15" made me think of my 15-year-old self. The blogs (mine was called "Amid Adolescence"), Rebelde, Amélie Poulain, Friends, photography, dreaming of Paris, Twilight, Twitter. Nostalgia for the internet and the way we used to create and consume.
I spent a few hours looking at my old blog posts - like this one - I basically wrote about what I saw, liked and was inspired by - and it was so nice. I think I miss doing something that's just fun and that I enjoy doing. I don't know, but it makes me want to try it this way here, but maybe this time with a little more intention, it's a little easier when we know ourselves better.
When inspiration doesn't come, we wonder:
What inspired our 15-year-old self? Or the version of ourselves that causes nostalgia or pride?
Maybe it's worth trying to draw from the same source.

To inspire you! Things I saw out there...
→ Inspired by Wes Anderson's new film, this incredible video by @thelostkids
→ Exploring the ocean in The Deep Sea
→ Creating amazing photos with the Remini App
→ All this vibe, this is the goal
On the Shelf: "Where Do We Learn to Love?"
I turned my dream of writing a book into reality. My book, "Where Do We Learn to Love?" is available, yay! And I'm especially excited this week because I received some really amazing reviews (thank you all!!); these feedbacks really motivate us to create more and more.
"Incredibly contemporary narratives that portray this search for love for ourselves and then perhaps for the encounter with the other. A language that is most confused with the speed of messages by WhatsApp and blends speed and lack of eloquence that we are deconstructing in such arid times such as ours."
Have you read it? If so, leave me a review, I'd love to hear your opinion!

Social Media: Threads is among us!
Little Mark (Mark Zuckerberg for the less intimate), founder of Facebook, strikes again! This time he launched a new social network called Threads. The app is similar to Twitter and already has more users than its three biggest rivals combined. However, Threads is directly connected to your Instagram account, which may be an advantage for brands and businesses, but may not be as attractive for ordinary users. Our mom reading our tweets never seemed like a good dream...
But some experts are saying that Threads could be the "death" of Twitter, this Independent Article is quite interesting; it talks about how Twitter has been facing problems and a drop in active users (hello Elon and your bizarre decisions). However, it's still too early to say that for sure. It's worth noting that there are rumours that Threads uses more data than necessary, but it's interesting to test the platform to draw your own conclusions. I'm there - follow me - and let's see how this unfolds.
Creation: ChatGPT
Although controversial among creatives, I believe that understanding how artificial intelligence tools can be part of your creative process, helping you instead of replacing you, is important. In this post on my blog, I show how ChatGPT (the most famous of all) can help you organise ideas and plan actions. Use ChatGPT as your brainstorming partner to share your challenges and ideas. Try starting a conversation with ChatGPT using the phrase: "Hey, I have an idea for a project, but I don't know where to start. Can you help me create a plan?" AI can guide you in navigating your creative project and turn your vision into a tangible script. Enjoy artificial intelligence as a collaborator in your creative process. Good creation!
